Welcome to the BARC!

The Batesville Area Radio Club is an ARRL-affiliated Amateur Radio club located on the banks of the White River in Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas. We serve ham radio operators from all over this part of the state to enhance communications skills and provide a fellowship of ham radio folks for this area. Interested in getting your ham radio license? Check our Getting Your License page or reach out to us and let us know! We can setup an exam session for you or test at most monthly meetings.

Weekly Radio Net

Our weekly radio net is held every Monday evening on the 147.270 repeater at 8:00pm local time. If you’re licensed, join us and check in! Not yet licensed? Listen in and see what it’s all about! There is a question and answer segment that runs beginning about 20 minutes prior to the net time, going over questions that appear on the amateur radio licensing exams. Join us on the air!

Monthly Meetings

We meet in person on the fourth Thursday of every month in the Community Room at the First Community Bank building at the corner of St. Louis and Harrison Streets (Highways 167 and 69) in the heart of Batesville. The meeting begins at 7:00pm and testing is available at most meetings. Let us know if you are planning to test so we can be expecting you and have everything ready to go.
